Jake D’Ambra graduated from Boston University in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, and graduated from New York University in 2022 with a Master of Music in Instrumental Performance with a Focus on Jazz Studies .

Jake has played music professionally for nearly a decade, with a focus in jazz, funk, hip-hop, and neo-soul. Jake’s playing with tenor saxophone, alto saxophone, soprano saxophone, and piano can accommodate a wide variety of client/performance needs. Experienced in conducting successful one-on-one remote or in-person music lessons for 5 years. Jake specializes in contrapuntal analysis and discovering compositional and performative methods to combine the compositional systems employed by classical composers and the improvisational systems employed by the jazz tradition. Additionally, Jake’s work in music has extended to media scoring and video sound design.

Creating unique and long lasting work is of the utmost importance and of the highest of values to Jake D’Ambra. To Jake, a life without meaningful creation and expression is an impossible one.
